Indie Pen Press LLC owns and runs indiepenpress.com. This policy says what personal information the site collects, why, who else handles it, and what you can ask us to do with it. The site has no accounts, no comments and no shop, so it collects very little.

What we collect, and why
The Indie Pen Dispatch newsletter
When you sign up, we collect your email address, and your name if you give it, so we can send you the newsletter. Signups go first to MailerLite, our email service, and are then moved to the press's own mailing list program (Listmonk, run on our own server), which sends the newsletter through the email delivery service Resend. Every issue has an unsubscribe link, and we keep your address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
The contact form
When you write to us, we collect your name, email address, subject and message, the page you wrote from, your IP address and your browser type. The message is emailed to Richard French through the email relay SendLayer and kept on our server as a record of the correspondence. The IP address and browser type help us spot spam. We keep messages until you ask us to delete them.
Spam protection
The newsletter and contact forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated programs. Turnstile looks at information about your browser and how you use the page; Cloudflare's privacy policy explains what it does with it.
Visitor statistics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read, from which kinds of device and roughly where in the world. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser for this. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not run advertising on this site.
Server logs
Like every website, the servers that deliver these pages (our web host and Cloudflare, which carries the site's traffic) keep standard logs of requests: IP address, the page asked for, the browser and the time. They are used to keep the site running and secure.
Cookies and similar storage
- Google Analytics sets cookies that measure visits (see above).
- The cookie notice remembers that you have dismissed it by storing a small note in your browser (local storage, not a cookie). It holds no personal information.
Search on this site runs in your browser and sends nothing to us. The site's fonts are stored on our own server, so loading them does not contact anyone else. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
Who we share information with
Only the services named above, and only to do the jobs described: MailerLite, Listmonk and Resend for the newsletter, SendLayer for contact emails, Cloudflare for spam protection and delivery, Google for visitor statistics, and our web host. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time with the link in any issue.
- Ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to [email protected]. We will answer within 30 days.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
