What Is The Story of Joseph About?
The Story of Joseph is the Bible’s great story of betrayal and forgiveness, told from beginning to end.
Joseph was seventeen when his brothers stripped him of the coat his father had given him and sold him to traders bound for Egypt. He became a slave, then a prisoner, and then the man who ruled Egypt second only to Pharaoh. Years later, famine drove his brothers to Egypt to buy grain, and they bowed before a ruler they did not recognize.
It is the story of a family torn apart and made whole, to read slowly, read aloud and share.
How Is the Book Told?
The Story of Joseph tells Genesis 37 to 50 as one continuous story in fifteen short episodes.
Each episode is short enough to read in one sitting: with your morning coffee, before bed, or aloud to someone you love. Read in order, the episodes carry Joseph’s life from his father’s house in Canaan to his last days in Egypt. Nothing happens here that Genesis does not record, and whenever someone speaks in quotation marks, the words are the Bible’s own.

Why Large Print Bible Stories for Adults Matter
Many adults know the Bible’s great stories only in pieces: a Sunday school picture, a verse, a sermon. Reading a story whole, at an unhurried pace and in type that is easy on the eyes, lets it land as the story it is. Treasured Bible Stories is made for that kind of reading, alone or aloud with the people you love.
